Among the activities that AMBAR deals in is vanilla farming. Vanilla is an aromatic herb of multipurpose use. It belongs to the species vanilla fragnans, syn. Vanilla planifolia.

Vanilla is one of the most important herbs grown in a few tropical countries. It is widely used in industries for different purposes which include among others; Culinary, Perfumery,

Confectionery, Beverage, Tobacco and medicine. It is some times processed and packed locally for export.

Vanilla extracts are used to flavor ice cream, yogurt, syrups, chocolate, soft drinks, liquors and tobacco. Other use of vanilla beans is stored in sugar, which is used to sweeten and give vanilla flavor to desert, fruits and cakes.

Besides vanilla farming, AMBAR also grows other medicinal plants such as Aloe-Vera which is used widely as a medicinal. Hot pepper, cabbage, cassava and other horticultural plant are being farmed
